Go-Va provides clients based mostly in Australia with offshore employees. We are managed operations, not a BPO. You will work in the Go-Va office in Cebu and have direct contact with your clients’ company on a daily basis who will train you in their policies and procedures. ABOUT THE ROLE:

To enable instantaneous money transfers, WorldRemit must ensure that pay-out partners are adequately funded to make the onward pay-out when our transactions are created. This involves a detailed forecast and regular remittance of bulk payments from our central accounts each day.

Failure to do so, or to forecast incorrectly may cause shortages resulting in poor customer experience and reputation, or if the company has over funded partners, we would be inadequately managing our corporate working capital and driving up financing costs.

As a growing international business, increasingly more of our business is in Asia. To meet this growth and maintain our high service standards, we are looking for a junior analyst to join a newly formed funding team based in Cebu. The Cebu team will take advantage of time zones and look after opening balance confirmations, following up with local partners to ensure settlement of funds and support the London based team in updating forecasts and proposing that day’s payments.

Over time, we expect one of the junior analysts to take a larger remit in the Philippines and take full ownership of the forecast function for the Asia region. This requires a strong understanding of international cash movement processes and the proven ability to plan and then manage multiple currency streams to tight deadlines. Tenacity coupled with an ability to make good working relationships are critical to the success of the role.

The role will report locally to a Commercial Finance Manager with oversight of commercial finance work by our London-based Senior Commercial Finance Manager.

Job Description:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Cebu City.
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.
• Full-Time position(s) available.

Job Qualification:

• Attention to detail
• Confident spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel) – SUMIF, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP
• Use of SQL an advantage
• Financially literate as demonstrated through relevant university degree or professional accounting qualification
• Prior forecasting experience is an advantage
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines efficiently within fast-paced environment
• A flexible individual who enjoys working in a changing environment, with an enjoyment of problem-solving and a strong analytical mindset
• An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Excellent English
• Additional European (Spanish, French) or Asian language skills preferable but not a pre-requisite.
